Theme : Highly Competitive Generation 4.0

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

First of all I would like to say thank you for the opportunity that given to me.
Good morning to the respected jury, the commitee and you’are all my dear friends.
I’m standing here right now to talk about our generation or also known as Millenials and how we faced the 4th Industrial Revolution.

Now the world enter a new era called the 4th Industrial era. There are several different definitions of the 4th Industrial Revolution, but the main features are undisputed. It has been driven over the last three decades by the IT revolution, which has already radically transformed our working and living environment.

In this era, industry was already use technology such as robots, artificial intelligence, super-sophisticated computers, autonomous vehicles, 3D printing, and other technology including the optimization of the functioning of the human brain with genetic editing and neurotechnology development.

I’m pretty sure that you all know about this. Even when you waste all of your time by stalking your kpop idol or ex account on Instagram. At least you see some news about them in tv, article, or another media.

At first glance it might look fun and amaze, but there will be losses caused by the industrial revolution.

There is some qoute that pretty similar for our situations right now. Charles Dickens said in his book entitled A tale of  Two Cities.
“It was the best of time, it was the worst of times . . . it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us…”

This 4th Industrial Revolution must have caused disruption or the disruption not only in the business sector, but also in the labor market. There will be many types of work lost and replaced by robot or artificial intelligence functions, so that inevitably, like it or not, it requires us to continue to develop skills so that we are not eroded by the technology in the future.

Millennials like us did not escape the changes brought on by the 4.0 industrial revolution. The generation who are in productive age like us must be prepared because the future of the industrial world is in our hands. Not enough to be smart and master the theory, we must have high learning abilities and skills to be able to keep up with rapid technological changes.

So you all its good to use social media and following the latest news about our situations. But don’t really waste your time on it. Like stalking your ex account. Seeing the onlineshop products but at the last moment you don’t even buy it. Okay its really waste your time.

These are some of the basic skills that we must have to be ready in the face of the 4th Industrial quoted from Future of Jobs Reports, the World Economic Forum.
